Maryland Inventor Receives ‘Woman Inventor of the Year’ Award at America’s Largest Invention Show

PITTSBURGHINPEX®, America’s Largest Invention Trade Show, announces that Lisa Mears, of Catonsville, Md., was recognized with the Woman Inventor of the Year award for her invention “The CloverHolder”. The invention was exhibited at the 2007 trade show June 6-9 at the Greater Pittsburgh ExpoMart.

Designed by Mears and her partner, James Morris, The CloverHolder provides a clean and sanitary storage area for any type of toothbrush — from slender, conventional brushes to bulky or oddly shaped electric brushes. This convenient bathroom accessory finally offers a means of storing those larger, electric toothbrushes that cannot fit into standard holders. In addition to the Woman Inventor of the Year award, the invention also won a Gold Medal in the Bath/Accessories category.

The inventions at INPEX® run the gamut from concept to finished product, from high-tech to ‘why didn’t I think of that’ items. Awards were presented in categories ranging from advertising to transportation as well as special awards from corporations and individuals. An international jury judged the inventions.
